Faber-Castell Venus Naturals Vintage No. 2 Pencil, c. 1970s

Faber-Castell Venus Naturals No. 2 pencil from the golden era of American pencil manufacturing. This example dates to the mid-1970s, produced during the brief window between Faber-Castell's 1973 acquisition of the Venus brand and the design consolidation of 1978–1980. The pencil displays the hallmark Naturals styling: a clear, transparent barrel revealing the raw wood grain beneath, paired with a  metal ferrule that secures the original pink eraser. The "Faber-Castell" and "Venus" names appear together on the barrel—a marker of post-1973 production and authentic American manufacture. Condition reflects age and use consistent with a working pencil from this period. A fine example of mid-1970s American pencil heritage and the brief Venus-Faber-Castell collaboration before corporate consolidation ended the line.
