Description: The Ruwe Pencil Co. was an independant pencil manufacturer in Greenwich, Connecticut until it was purchased by Dixon Ticonderoga in 1988. This is pencil is a must have for pencil collectors. The bright yellow barrel is topped with an all gold colored ferrule. Ruwe was famous for their use of fractions in their lead grades, however, the No. 2 was their standard pencil. Dating of this item was determined using research on barrel color, barrel markings, and packaging.
