Tomsk Pencil Co. C0103 TM (HB) Vintage Soviet Era Pencil, c. 1988
Description: During the Soviet Era, the Tomsk pencil factory was producing millions of pencils made of Siberian cedar. This c. 1988 pencil has a "TKO" quality control stamp confirming the lead met state standards for drafting stability. The barrel is also stamped with the item price of 3 Kopeks. A fine writing tool although, the lead is consistently off-center and the pencil is thinner than most others. Production date of this pencil was determined by research on production, barrel stamps, and other markings.
